The Pre-Flight Routine

Whether you're a frequent flyer or taking your first trip, a well-planned pre-flight routine can make all the difference when it comes to travel. And with the 100mL lineup of compact, versatile products, streamlining your skincare and self-care routine has never been easier.

Today, we will walk you through the Pre-Flight routine our Founder, Kate does before any long or short haul flight, and the products she uses.

Step 1: Double Cleansing is a must to have the pre-flight clean. This will get ride of any dirt that is sitting deep inside pores. She first cleanses with the Isla Beauty Day Melt Facial Cleanser, then double cleanses with the Gentle Elements Foaming cleanser from Superegg. This leaves her skin feeling soft and supple, a great foundation for layering products.

Step 2: Face mist, the first round of many, will be spritzed across her face. At home the Immediate Moisture Facial Hydrosol from Aesop to get her face moist before applying her next layer.

Step 3: Hydration, Hydration Hydration.... did we say Hydration? Yes, next up is the Plump Jelly from Moon Juice. A few nice pumps will be applied to her face while still wet so the product really soaks in. This is the base layer of hydration.

Step 4: More Hydration,  Kate loves the Superegg Sound Renewal Serum, which really keeps the skin hydrated while on the go.

Step 5: If she is feeling extra dry, she will add the Furtuna Skin Oil for extra protection of the skin to keep it from drying out.

Step 6: Protection of the sun, we are closer to the sun when we fly, it's always important to put on a nice thick layer of sunscreen, which as you know we love the Resting Beach Face by Everyday humans

To continue the hydration, she always drink one liter of water on the way to the airport, and one liter at the airport. Yes, this may seem excessive, BUT we lose 1.5 - 2 liters of water when flying. Staying hydrated is important. Mini Dew from Moon Juice is now the new supplement that will be implemented into the routine.

During the flight drinking water and electrolytes is important to maintain hydration, which will help jet lag, bloating, dry skin, and more! Moral of this story, drink water and incorporate Mini Dew.

This seams like a long routine, but having a routine prior to your flight adds ease and calmness prior to what can be a hectic day. When it comes to traveling there is a lot that is out of your control, this is why implementing a routine can be helpful and a stress release.

Here are some of our favorite routines or create your own routine.

Safe Travels!
